Second-half surge leads to Mancelona gridiron victory

MANCELONA — Heart, toughness and desire.

The Mancelona football team displayed all three when it counted most in Friday’s homecoming football game against Frankfort, as the Ironmen outscored the Panthers 20-0 in the second half of a 36-18 win — Mancelona’s third straight victory.

The Ironmen (4-2) turned a 18-16 halftime deficit in their favor with a dominant second-half performance, punctuating the win with three touchdowns in the final eight minutes of the game.
