Sattler to leave KHS to take head post at Fairview
KALKASKA – More than the seniors will be saying goodbye at Kalkaska High School at the end of the current 2016-17 school year.
John Sattler, the principal at KHS for the last two years, confirmed that he recently accepted the position of superintendent at Fairview Area Schools and will be starting his new job as the district’s top administrator on July 1.
“I'm excited for this career move and the opportunity to be a superintendent in Fairview Area Schools,” Sattler said. “What attracted me to Fairview is they have had a history of top academics, along with being financial sound.
“Also, I will be taking over for Interim Superintendent Lee Sandy, who I worked under for five years here at Kalkaska High School,” he added. “Having Lee as the current superintendent in Fairview will truly help me with the transition into my new role.”
