Rosiek, Fischer finalize college plans with signing

BELLAIRE — Sophie Rosiek and Keagan Fischer have been side by side since they were in preschool together in Bellaire.

On Friday they sat side by side as each signed to compete at the collegiate level — Rosiek to play volleyball at Hope College and Fischer to play basketball at Alpena Community College.

“Sophie and I have grown up together,” said Fischer. “We’ve been friends since preschool and we’ve always been in every sport together. It really just makes everything more special and memorable and definitely more exciting.”
