Potatoes For Pedals – A special night with Owen Werner
Join Elk Rapids Cherryland Middle School’s own Owen Werner, McLain Cycle, Re/Max Elk Rapids, and NMC’s students for a night of community and celebration on Friday, Dec. 7 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The meal will include chili, baked potatoes, Northwoods Soda and breads.
Owen cannot ride a “normal” bike. In fact, Owen does not have a bike because the right bike is very expensive, requires modifications and is a long process to find the right bike that can grow with Owen. While researching a bike, Owen learned about New Lyfe Restorations and what can be done to modify bikes so children with special needs can ride too. Owen wanted to create a fundraiser to celebrate and bring awareness to all things bike related in the area.
