Plant an ATREP Tree for Climate Change

As most everybody knows, trees provide huge benefits for soil, water and air.  Trees use the carbon dioxide that we exhale and provide us with oxygen.  Another way to look at that is that trees sequester (remove) carbon from the atmosphere, reducing one of the main contributors to climate change. One mature tree can remove up to 48 pounds of carbon per year according to onetreeplanted.org. 

Our native trees are in danger.  Extreme weather conditions and out-of-order weather places stress on trees making them more susceptible to insects and disease.
