Petoskey Stone Festival to feature chainsaw artist, birds of prey

Jon Mykkonen, of Woodworks Chainsaw Carving, will headline this year’s 12th annual Petoskey Stone Festival, scheduled for Saturday, May 27.

EASTPORT – This year’s 12th annual Antrim County Petoskey Stone Festival will feature a talented Michigan chainsaw artist, birds of prey and sled dogs in an entertainment lineup sure to please the whole family during the 2017 event, scheduled for Saturday, May 27.

A featured guest at the UP State Fair and other major Michigan events, Jon Mykkanen of Woodworks Chainsaw Carving, is a well-known, award winning chainsaw artist that has been creating masterpieces from tree stumps for several years. He will be showcasing his work throughout the day on May 27, with a special presentation at 2 p.m.
