Randall (above) and Lisa Libby, winners of the prestigious 2015 Art Prize competition in Grand Rapids with their nine-foot tall map of Michigan made completely from Petoskey Stones, will headline the 13th annual Antrim County Petoskey Stone Festival, scheduled for Saturday, May 26, in Antrim County's Barnes Park in Eastport.

EASTPORT – This year's 13th annual Antrim County Petoskey Stone Festival, scheduled for Saturday, May 26, at Antrim County's Barnes Park in Eastport, will feature 2015 Art Prize winners Randall and Lisa Libby and their unique Petoskey stone works of art, a children's puppet show, and the United States Coast Guard, festival director Stanley Moore announced last week.

During a special presentation, the couple will demonstrate how they created their nine-foot, 700-pound 2015 Art Prize masterpiece, a huge map of Michigan made completely from Petoskey stones, along with other similar works of art during this year's festival, according to Moore, who said that the Manistee area couple would also be offering examples of their work for sale during the popular festival.

"Hundreds of hours of work go into each piece of art the Libbys create," Moore said, noting that another piece of the couple's stone work earned an "Honorable Mention" at the world-renown Grand Rapids art show in 2016. "We are honored to have the Libbys join us."

Also new to this year's celebration will be a presentation of "Thumbelina," a children's puppet show featuring a thumb-sized girl's journey through nature into the Fairy Kingdom, learning that everything she really needs is inside herself, and the always-popular aerial search and rescue demonstration by the U.S. Coast Guard's Traverse City Air Station.
