In-person education to continue, despite Governor’s recommendations

REGION — Despite a recommendation from the Governor that the schools revert to remote learning for the next two weeks, Antrim County's six public school districts are remaining open for in-person education.

The recommendation from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer came as Michigan took the lead last week in the number of COVID-19 cases, with more than 80 new outbreaks identified in K-12 schools across the state. 

Whitmer asked, but stopped short of ordering, public high schools to revert to remote learning and to pause all school sports as well on Friday, April 9.
