Many eager for return of recycling

REGION — The pile of returnables has grown so large at Terri Van Uum’s house that it has earned a nickname.

“We call it Mount Tin,” said VanUum.

Van Uum is not unlike many other residents in the state, who have watched their recyclable cans and bottles mount for the past three months as grocery stores and retailers stopped accepting returns in March to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
