Lift that leg and lower it very, very slowly. There I was, flat on my back in bed, doing my exercises, just like I do every morning of the world, when I finally realized I wasn’t moving a muscle. My eyes were shut and I was only visualizing my morning routine of the stretching exercises I learned in physical therapy several years ago.  At least I started the day with a good laugh at myself.
Those of us who passed “GO” many years ago, are often urged to exercise our minds, but I don’t think this is what they had in mind.
I learned to read at an early age and entertained myself with Uncle Wiggley, and Nurse Jane Fuzzy Wuzzy, stories in the newspaper as well as any other reading material I could find.
I found that books could fire up my imagination and take me on adventures to faraway places.
