Lady Elks defeat Gladiators in five

TRAVERSE CITY — The Lady Elks volleyball team came back from the brink of defeat against Traverse City St. Francis on Tuesday, Sept. 11 on the road, downing the Lady Gladiators in five sets. The win put Elk Rapids on top of the Lake Michigan Conference, in control of its own destiny for the LMC title.

“I am so very proud of these girls. They didn’t give up when we went down. They fought back and played hard, and had the confidence that they could win,” said Elk Rapids varsity volleyball coach Connie Gorno.
