Kalkaska’s residents need to step up, end the talk, take action

I expressed my opinion last week of the divisive squabble currently going on in Kalkaska. I’ve got two more things to say about it and then I’m done with it, at least until some new development happens.
First, I want to say something about the cancellation of that special meeting that was set for Wednesday, July 19. The village president and three council members were no-shows for that meeting so that left only three council members in attendance, which was one less than needed for a quorum. So, even though there were probably 50 or 60 people who showed up to participate in, or listen to public comment, it was announced that the meeting was cancelled because enough council members were not present.
