CENTRAL LAKE — While the Mancelona boys track team did what it has done every time out this year, Bellaire’s Ryan Felton did something no one had ever done at the Central Lake Invitational.

Felton set a new meet record at Monday’s competition with a leap of 20-5.5 in the long jump. It was one of two first-place finishes for the Eagles’ senior jumper as he also took top honors in the high jump with a jump of 6-0.

The Ironmen scored 162 points to finish 46 points ahead of runner up Johannesburg-Lewiston. It was the third straight invitational title for Mancelona this season, which has yet to be challenged in its first three meets. Ellsworth scored 90 points and finished third, while Bellaire was seventh with 34 points, Forest Area 10th with 15 and Central Lake 11th with five.
