Ingersoll earns Review Baseball Player of the Year honor
REGION — Chase Ingersoll destroyed opponents’ pitching this season.
The Forest Area junior tore the cover off the ball, which led to some eye-popping offensive numbers.
Ingersoll had been a key component for the Warriors in his first two seasons with the program but this year he took his game to another level. The postseason accolades Ingersoll received were a reflection of that, highlighted by a first-team all-state nod from the Michigan Baseball Coaches Association — the only player from the area to land on the prestigious list for the best high school players in the state. That made Ingersoll an easy pick as the 2019 Review Baseball Player of the Year.
