History tent provides a trip down memory lane as part of sesquicentennial
KALKASKA — Longtime residents of Kalkaska County, as well as new visitors to the area will be able to take a trip down memory lane Thursday through Saturday with a history tent is being set up on the lawn of the Kaliseum.
The tent is part of Kalkaska’s sesquicentennial celebration as the county commemorates 150 years since its inception in 1871.
Artifacts from some of Kalkaska’s pioneer families, along with historic items from local townships and county agencies will be among the things on hand. The tent is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day and is free and open to the public.
