Helping your family cope with COVID

Parents and community members are invited to take part in a virtual forum on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 7 p.m., called ‘Helping Your Family Cope with COVID.’ 

During the forum, parents and caregivers are asked to bring their ideas, questions and concerns to a participatory environment. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and seek information from other parents, and also from professionals who work with children. Tip and tools, including mindfulness, to help pre-teens and teens cope with anxiety and depression during this continued time of disruption will be discussed.

Among the presenters are Lynne DeMoore of the Health Department of Northwest Michigan, and Christine Carpenter and Rebekah Pedersen of the Alcona Health Center. RSVP is requested to attend the event via Zoom. Call 231-348-2290 for more information.
