Four Elks earn girls soccer all-state honors
ELK RAPIDS — It was another banner year for the Elk Rapids girls soccer team as the Elks won 13 games, claimed a third consecutive district title and reached the regional championship game.
All that success led to four players being named to the Division 4 all-state list, including repeat first-team pick Nikki Hayes. It was the third time in her career that Hayes earned all-state recognition as the Elks’ top scoring forward was a second-team pick as a sophomore.
Also getting all-state accolades were junior goalie Drew Antcliff, senior midfielder Clare Klein and junior midfielder Olivia Travis. Antcliff found a spot on the all-state second team, while Klein and Travis were third team picks. Antcliff and Klein received all-state honors
