Elks win Frankfort Invite to open baseball season

FRANKFORT — The schedule began late for the Elks this year as they took the field in their season opener at the Frankfort Invitational on Saturday. The four-team tournament turned into a round robin event when Rudyard failed to show, leaving the Elks, Frankfort and Manton as the participants. The Elks took home the trophy with a 4-0 opening win over Frankfort followed immediately with an 8-3 downing of Manton.
