Elks win fourth straight district title

GLEN LAKE — One goal was all took to give the Lady Elks a girls soccer district crown.

The Elks blanked Charlevoix 1-0 in the Division 4 district final in Glen Lake. The win was the third shutout victory over the Rayders this season, earning the Elks their fourth straight district trophy. The Elks have played in the district final every year since 2011, winning five times.

The Elks took to the pitch with all of the regular season starters healthy for the first time since early in the season.  The lone goal came with 13 minutes left in the first half, with Olivia Travis sending the ball the left side of the field to Amanda Trierweiler in the right place at the right time, scoring from 18 yards out.

Drew Antcliff had five saves in net for the Elks.
