ELK RAPIDS — The Elk Rapids community was put into a state of shock on Sunday with the news that Reese Isenhart had passed away.
Isenhart, 26, was a 2011 Elk Rapids graduate and a three-sport varsity starter, playing baseball, basketball and football. The Elks lost at home to Negaunee 22-15 in the opening round of the playoffs, a subject that brought groans to Isenhart and his teammates still in 2019. This squad is the only Elk Rapids varsity team to defeat St. Francis in football, winning 20-15 on the road that season.
