Eagles see season end in state final loss to Fowler
EAST LANSING — One game.
That’s all the separated the Bellaire girls basketball team from a Division 4 state championship as the Eagles saw their season end at the last stop — the state finals at the Breslin Center in East Lansing — with a 54-20 loss to Fowler in the championship game.
Sisters Mia Riley and Emma Riley were a dynamic duo for Fowler, with Mia scoring a game-high 18 points and Emma following with 16 points. Bellaire (15-5) couldn’t collectively answer, struggling through a tough outing offensively in a game that got away from the Eagles before the end of the first half.
