Commissioner, county clerk join Michigan officials to voice concerns at DC gathering

KALKASKA – It’s not every day when local officials can voice their concerns directly to those controlling some of the many federal agencies in our nation’s capital.
But, District No. 2 Commissioner Stuart McKinnon and Kalkaska County Clerk Deborah Hill traveled to Washington, D.C., along with more than 50 county commissioners and other elected officials from around Michigan, at a White House conference on Aug. 8 designed to create a dialogue between local and federal leaders.
