Central Lake says goodbye to Beasleys with car parade

CENTRAL LAKE — There was one more ‘Fifth Quarter’ to close out the fourth quarter of Mark Beasley’s time living in Central Lake.

Beasley, the athletic director at Central Lake since 2017, and his family are moving to the Flint area at the end of this week, but before that happens Beasley, his wife Jessica, a preschool teacher, and their sons Noah, Matthew and Joshua hosted a final bonfire at their home.

The bonfires have become a frequent tradition. They started as a celebratory get-together for Central Lake students at the end of the school year in June, and again at the start of the school year in September. After that, the ‘Fifth Quarter’ became an annual gathering after football games. The Beasleys held their final bonfire on Tuesday night.
