Central Lake hears concerns about noxious weeds letters

CENTRAL LAKE — During a damp meeting held in the Thurston Park pavilion during a driving rain storm on Wednesday, June 10, the Central Lake Village Council listened to concerns about a number of warning letters over "noxious weeds" ordinance violations mailed to residents.

The council also heard continued concerns about the village's water quality, and appointed a new village council trustee. 

Two of the 65 residents who received the ordinance violation letters, Jessica Pletcher and Tom Underhill, spoke during public comment, with both saying that they had received the letters in early June after they had already mowed their lawns.
