Book drive to benefit isolated Meadow Brook residents
BELLAIRE — For an entire year now, the residents of Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire have been isolated from society, friends and loved ones by the threat of COVID-19.
Unable to go out or receive personal visits from loved ones and friends, the lockdown has made for an even quieter, lonelier existence for the 130 or so residents of the nursing home, with only the telephone, television, radio, and electronic media to keep them in touch with friends, family and the world beyond the locked doors of Meadow Brook.
And books, magazines, and newspapers, of course.
