Bellaire tops Central Lake for first league volleyball win

CENTRAL LAKE — The Bellaire volleyball team captured the first of what it’s hoping are many Ski Valley Conference wins on Thursday when the Eagles swept host Central Lake 3-0.

The Eagles won by scores of 25-18, 25-10, 25-19.

It was another combined effort to get the Eagles the win as they had contributions throughout the roster. Libby Derrer led the way with nine kills, 12 digs and two aces. Delaney Goodwin had 11 assists, 14 digs and one ace, while Kaitlyn Denoyer chipped in with 14 digs and three aces. Noel Mann had 11 digs and three aces, while Payton Fischer contributed six digs and six aces. Also for the Eagles, Emersyn Koepke came up with eight digs, Katie Slabosz had five digs and one ace, Jacey Somers had six kills, Katie Decker had one ace, two digs and one kills, Bella Martinek had two kills and three digs, and Kendall Fischer had three digs and one kill.
