Bellaire to seek financing for new plow truck
BELLAIRE — During a virtual monthly meeting last week, the Bellaire Village Council approved a bid for construction of a new village website, and agreed to ask its Streets committee to seek financing for a new plow truck.
The decision to consider a new truck came after DPW Supervisor Bradley Keiser told the Council that the committee had been considering a new street sweeper but had discovered that sweepers can be leased or rented short term when needed.
"It could be used at other times when needed, as well," said Keiser, noting that the sweeper could come in handy prior to events like the annual Rubber Ducky and Memorial Day parades. "So that's when we decided to pass that onto the Village Council and return to considerations of a new plow truck."
