Bellaire pulls into tie for first in Ski Valley
BELLAIRE — Earlier this season it looked like Bellaire’s string of Ski Valley Conference championships might be halted at six.
But the Eagles are making at run at a seventh consecutive league crown, topping league-leading Johannesburg-Lewiston 42-25 on Friday night to pull into a tie for first with three games to go.
“We played really good defense, basically,” said Bellaire coach Paul Koepke. “It was such a really good team defensive effort. They run a four-out and motion (offense), and we did a nice job guarding their cutters and their scorers.”
