Bellaire named as one of the ‘Best Small Lake Towns in America’

BELLAIRE – Mix a lot of hard work with a share of abundant natural resources and you have a winning combination that’s worthy of national recognition.

This week, the Bellaire Chamber of Commerce announced that the village earned a No. 17 ranking in “The 25 Best Small Lake Towns in America" list compiled by Country Living magazine and Countryliving.com.

Thrilled with the honor, the Chamber also touted its surrounding communities.

“We are really excited for this recognition,” stated Chamber representative Rachel Krino. “It is an opportunity to showcase our entire area including Alden, Bellaire, Central Lake and Eastport. These communities share Torch Lake and make the area a true outdoor destination.”

Krino said between its “close proximity to the beautiful blue waters of Torch Lake, the endless outdoor recreation opportunities and a unique downtown, Bellaire was recognized among the 25 coolest small lake towns in America.”

"We believe that Bellaire always puts its best foot forward and shows the region as a family friendly destination or a place to call home.”
