Bacchanalia is back: Local wine, appetizers and music to highlight fair fundraiser
KALKASKA – Bacchanalia, the annual fundraiser for the Kalkaska County Agricultural Fair, is back – rain or shine – for its fourth year on Saturday, July 22 at the fairgrounds.
Attendees can expect a wide variety of tastings by local producers, such as meads, ciders, wine, craft beer, plus Northwoods Soda, according to Linda Gilson, one of the event’s directors.
“It’s the only event like it in Kalkaska County,” said Gilson.
The doors open from 7-10 p.m., with VIP hour beginning at 6 p.m. Ticket holders will receive six tastings plus two appetizers, with more tasting tickets available for purchase at the event.
The popular fundraiser will feature many local producers, such as Right Brain, Short’s, Petoskey Farms Vineyard & Winery, Northwoods Soda, Bee Well Meadery, Chateau Chantal and more.
Trout Town Tavern and Eatery is returning to provide the appetizers, which are made with locally-sourced ingredients.
