Area runners compete at Hot Dog Invitational
BELLAIRE — Area runners were greeted with hot and steamy temperatures on Saturday for the annual Hot Dog Invitational cross country meet at Bellaire Centennial Golf Club.
Ellsworth’s boys finished third in out of Division 4 schools, while the girls were sixth and Bellaire’s girls were seventh. In Division 3, Mancelona’s boys were third and the girls took fourth.
The top individual performance went to Mancelona’s Tyler McClure, who took fourth in a time of 17:47. Other top-10 finishes came from Ellsworth’s Caleb Godwin, who was sixth in 18:55, and Bellaire’s Ricky McMurray, who ran an eighth-place time of 19:35.
