Area realtors busy upon return to work
REGION — Realtors were more than eager for somewhat of a return to normalcy after Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer relaxed her Executive Orders that shut down the industry for more than a month due to the coronavirus pandemic.
So too were potential buyers, who unleashed a barrage of phone calls and emails on brokers as the real estate market resumed business on Thursday.
“Pretty crazy,” said Walt Mann of Real Estate One in Bellaire, describing how work has been since he returned. “The phone’s been ringing off the hook, emails. The door opened up and they’re flooding in. I’m trying to figure out if this is a pent-up thing, where people are jumping all at once, or is it going to be a long-lasting thing? That will be the question.”
