Another tool to help stop COVID 19 spread

Downloading the free app, MI COVID Alert, on your phone could make a meaningful difference in bringing the virus under control, according to Robert Gordon, director of the state health department.  Anyone with the app who has been within 6 feet of another app user for at least 15 minutes in the last 10 days will be notified with a push alert, if that close contact tests positive for the virus.  The program uses Bluetooth technology to ensure privacy.  Persons testing positive enter a randomly assigned PIN which then matches  phones which were in proximity prior to positive testing to alert you of possible exposure, suggests getting a test and quarantining.
